Photographer Chad Coppess (SD Tourism) visited Yankton last weekend to photograph the annual sailing regatta named "Bash to the Colonies."

Captains gathered near the marina at 8 a.m. to discuss the rules of the day.

Over 50 sailboats gathered at Lewis and Clark Lake.

The regatta ended on land with a barbecue, trophy presentation and dance featuring the band "Too Drunk to Fish."
