South Dakota Web Roundup

Jul 12, 2013

This week, let's celebrate the simple pleasures and little miracles life in South Dakota has in store with a handful of blog posts from around the region.

    • We’ve been eagerly observing the transformation of The Outdoor Campus’ monarch butterflies, from eggs to caterpillars to pupa. This week, Matthew Stoffel captured one caterpillar wiggling into its chrysalis phase on video.
    • Doug Lund remembers the joy he and the late Phil James brought dancers during their 20-year musical friendship.
    • Madison’s Dairy Queen sells more blizzards than any other on Miracle Treat Day, a fundraiser for the Children’s Miracle Network. This year, owner DeLon Mork has recruited a special guest to go skydiving with him if Madison stays on top on Miracle Treat Day, August 8.
