We have a winner in our July Whereizzit contest! We drew Colleen Schulte's name from the pool of people who knew that this structure can be spotted in Geddes, South Dakota. In former days, it was a WNAX gas station, but now it's part of Geddes' historic village.

It is the old railway depot building that Bill Hoffman, the Mobil dealer, used as his office and it is now located in the Pioneer Village in Geddes, SD. If there are singed spots along the door frame on the inside just underneath the handle, that is the result of Dave DuFrain and me booby-trapping the door with fireworks a long time ago.

The first time I saw this building was in the early 40s. It was located at the intersection of hwy 50 and the middle road into Geddes.That might be when it was a WNAX gas station although I don't know that. It then got moved to the lot west of the old Noll furniture building on 4th st. Later it was moved south of the old Depot and used as a Mobil Oil Co agents office, Jim Phillips,Babe King, and Bill Hoffman the last Mobil Oil agent in Geddes. It now sits in the historical park min Geddes.
