An AIM member and two FBI agents were killed on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation today in 1975. It started when the agents, in unmarked cars, chased an Indian onto the Jumping Bull Ranch. When the agents began shooting, Leonard Peltier and others fired back. No one was convicted of killing the Indian man, Joe Kills Right Stuntz, but Peltier was found guilty of murdering the agents.
