The Winks are a great South Dakota family. Dawn's dad, Dean, is a Yankton College grad who played a little football for the Eagles in the NFL. He is a lanky West River cowboy who now serves in the state legislature, and is likely to be the next speaker of the house. His wife Joan is an educator, a writer, and a great lady who penned a story for our magazine a few years back on the challenges and wonders of a rural school. Thanks for the picts of home life, Dawn.

There's another sign for their ranch out there in that big country. It's on the south side of the highway just west of Howes Corner, that would help people place this. (for those that don't turn north to Faith on a regular absis :)) Great photos

We drive by on our way fishing. Whenever we see the entrance to the ranch, the kids all yell WINK...so all of us have to wink at the WINK RANCH as we drive by. Great photos!!
